The Financial Controller works closely together with the Finance Director and assists with the preparation of both financial statements and management information. To be successful in this role, you will possess accounting and analytical skills, know how to develop a network and how to position yourself within the business and provide guidance on financial and operational topics. The ideal candidate is well-organized, capable of switching between teamwork and working independently, and with the highest levels of integrity.

Your main tasks are:

  • Play a key role in the month-end closing process, including determination of accruals and provisions, review of P&L and Balance Sheet, and analysis of fluctuations compared to forecast and prior periods.
  • Prepare and assist with audits and ensure compliance with, and preparation of reports according to applicable government regulations.
  • Follow changes in regulations and compiling reports regarding compliance issues, standards, and accounting practices.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Assist in development and evaluation of forecasts and business cases.
  • Act as a finance business partner, pro-actively advising management on finance & business topics.
  • Focus on monitoring of financial processes, cost control, margin development and take care of improvement and maintenance of internal control of business finance perspective.

    You bring strength and physical stamina to the job. You are able to cope with complex problems and you work well with others. Furthermore, you have the following competences.

  • HBO work and thinking level
  • Bachelor- or Master-level degree in accounting/Finance
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Excellent understanding of reporting and accounting regulations- IFRS, Dutch GAAP
  • Strong desktop computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position and preferably in an international service industry
  • You are independently able to set priorities and pick up the work.
