Process Control Engineer
For our client, a supplier of resins and specialty materials that enable customers to create robust, durable, and versatile products and components, we are seeking a Process Control Engineer. The Role (a summary)
As a Process Control Engineer, you will work at a chemical production site and be responsible for the management and optimization of process control systems. You support and improve the production processes of our resins and make a key contribution to safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimizing approximately 30 DCS, PLC, and OT systems (including Emerson, HIMA, ABB, and Siemens)
- Contributing to improvements in batch processes and automation systems
- Analyzing and resolving process disruptions in collaboration with various disciplines
- Initiating and participating in process control projects
- Integrating process safety into design, modifications, and daily operations
You report to the Plant Support Manager and work closely with the other Process Control Engineer, operators, maintenance technicians, plant chemists, process engineers, and project managers.
You are (co-)responsible for the process control of the plants and proactively identify improvement opportunities in systems and processes. Through continuous optimization, you contribute to a safe, stable, and efficient production environment.
We Are Looking For
- At least a Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) or equivalent working and thinking level
- Preferably a degree in Technical Informatics or a related field
- Knowledge of electrical engineering, communication technology, and virtual systems. DeltaV experience is a plus!
- Fluency in English. Dutch is a plus !
- Insight into production processes and the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Knowledge of safety procedures such as MOC and HAZOP is an advantage
Benefits
Besides a good secondary package, the salary bandwidth is between €69.000,- and €99.047,-. If the work allows it is possible to work from home with a maximum of 1 day per week.
