Sales Support Engineer Industrie & Infra – 40 hours per week
Eekels | TBI is looking for a Sales Support Engineer for the Industrial & Infrastructure business unit at either the Kolham or Emmen location. As a Sales Support Engineer, you play a crucial and supportive role in the sale of complete technical installations and construction kits. You are responsible for calculating accurate costs and discussing inquiries with customers to ultimately provide the most suitable quotation.
The Industry & Infrastructure business unit is active in the market segment Industry & Infrastructure, among other things with electrical solutions. The business unit takes care of the entire process from advice, engineering (hard- & software), purchasing, panel construction, implementation, test & inspection up to and including maintenance. The business unit has specific expertise in the field of process automation, medium voltage and predictive maintenance. Offering the most suitable solutions for the customer (both in terms of technology and price) is essential in this regard.
What can you expect from us?
What is expected of you?
Providing essential technical input to the sales process, supporting the sales team in selling complete installations and complex technical systems and products;
Determining in consultation with the Manager Sales Support, the stategy to offer on time and with the desired technical accuracy;
Providing support to the Sales Manager and project leaders, and actively participating in sales processes;
Responsible for calculating a reliable cost price substantiated in a comprehensive case file;
Be able to translate customer wishes into a preliminary design, which forms the basis for you to implement and compile the technical specification, a budget and a commercial proposal to the customer;
Maintaining contacts and discussing inquiries with the customer to provide the most suitable quotation;
In collaboration with the Purchasing department, you select suppliers and subcontractors and maintain contacts with internal suppliers within Eekels;
After contract acquisition, ensure a successful transfer of the sales file to the project team;
Initiating improvement proposals (process improvement, standard calculations, calculation tools) that lead to a strengthening of Eekels’ competitive position.
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
Completed higher vocational education, preferably in (Technical) Business Administration or Electrical Engineering;
Several years of work experience in a similar role. Experience in the Industrial & Infrastructure market is preferred;
Flexible, customer-oriented, analytical, and resilient to stress;
Independent and (commercially oriented) communication skills;
Good spoken and written command of Dutch and English. Proficiency in the German language is an advantage.
